Shakhtar’s 21-year-old Israeli midfielder Manor solomon spoke about studying foreign languages.

– Weren’t you afraid that it will cost you to be yours in the Ukrainian and Brazilian national team?

– At first it worried me, because the team has two main languages: Portuguese and Russian. And almost no English is used.

At first, it was very difficult to be between Brazilians and Ukrainians. I was lucky that Larry Kayode was in the club, who speaks English. We always had someone to translate for.

Over time, I began to understand more Portuguese and Russian. This helped me adjust. We can say that I have almost completed this process.

– Do you really learn two languages?

– Yes. Portuguese is much easier for me because it is close to English. It’s easier for me to understand and speak it. So I know Portuguese better than Russian, which is very difficult for me. Sometimes I even find it difficult to pronounce words. I think in time I will speak Russian better.
