The government in a meeting on Wednesday, December 9, may extend the quarantine until spring, reports RBC-Ukraine, citing a source in the cabinet.

As you know, today the government must decide on the issue of strengthening the quarantine.

“It is expected that there will be a continuation of the general quarantine until the end of February. As well as everything related to the restrictions in January,” said the source.

The time of closure is still unknown.

On the eve, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov admitted that it might not be from January 2. Lockdown explained in January with the need to reduce the spread of not only the coronavirus, but also influenza.

We will recall, previously in the Cabinet of Ministers, he explained the introduction of the blockade in January due to the fact that the economy will more easily support the severe quarantine restrictions during the holidays.
