There are plans to create five medical cities in Ukraine. This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
“We have a task: to make five medical cities in Ukraine. We will do them,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
It is planned to attract extra-budgetary funds for the execution of this project, so that the construction is simultaneous and not gradual.
The flagship project should be the construction of a multidisciplinary regional hospital in Kramatorsk. It will be able to provide high-quality, highly specialized medical care to more than 2.5 million residents of the Donetsk, Lugansk and Kharkiv regions.
The hospital plans to create a consultation and diagnostic unit equipped with high-precision medical equipment. This department will be designed for 600 visits per shift. In addition, hospital care is provided.
The cost of the first stage of construction is UAH 5.9 billion, the total estimate is UAH 8 billion. Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2021, subject to the availability of adequate funds.
