“It is even better for us that Shakhtar play at Olimpiyskiy”

Dinamo’s Uruguayan midfielder Carlos De Pena shared his opinion that the team shares a stadium with Shakhtar.

“To be honest, I have no problem with that. Our games do not overlap: if we play on Saturday, they play on Sunday, or we play at home and they play away. And our derbies will now be held constantly on the Olimpiyskiy. This means that we will not need to waste time on a trip to Kharkov. It’s even better for us.

I know that the Dynamo have been playing their games at the Olimpiyskiy for many years. I really like this stadium. We know him well, we feel comfortable there and we won the Ukrainian Super Cup against Shakhtar in this field. I also like the arena that is named after Valery Lobanovsky.

Shakhtar also decided to play at Olimpiyskiy. Again, I don’t see this as a problem. After all, the stadium belongs to the state, ”De Pena said.
