According to the police, a woman tried to poison the president of the United States. She was arrested while trying to leave the country.

US law enforcement officers detained a woman who, according to the investigation, last week sent a letter containing poison to US President Donald Trump. On Monday, September 21, CNN reports, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.

It is noted that the attacker was detained on the Canadian-US border.

“The woman, suspected of sending a castor poison letter to US President Donald Trump, was arrested while trying to get from Canada to the US at a border checkpoint in New York state,” the channel said.

It is noted that the woman carried a weapon with her and was detained by the American side.

The prosecution is preparing an indictment for her.

Ricin is a plant protein poison that is obtained from castor beans. If ingested, it causes nausea, vomiting, internal bleeding, leading to organ failure and death. There is no antidote for that.

Remember that a letter containing castor poison was sent to the President of the United States, Donald Trump. The package was intercepted by law enforcement officers. The suspect’s arrest was later reported, however no details were provided.
