In Israel, one million people have already received the first vaccine against the coronavirus, which is 10% of the country’s population. This is the first state in the world to vaccinate such a part of its citizens.
This was reported by the Times of Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the vaccination site in the city of Umm al-Fahm and was present during the vaccination of the country’s millionth citizen.
However, it is noted that Arab residents, who make up 20% of the population, are not as willing to get vaccinated, which is why Netanyahu has planned a series of visits to places where Arab communities live, including the city of Umm al -Fahm. You have not visited these places for several years.
Israel has had approximately 420,000 confirmed COVID-19 infections since the start of the pandemic, according to Hopkins University.
We will remember, in the countries of Europe mass vaccination against COVID-19 also began. Use a drug of Pfizer and BioNTech is the only one approved for use by European Union regulators. Vaccines, in particular, are received by people from risk groups in France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and others.
On December 12, COVAX officially approved Ukraine’s request for the drug. The country’s chief sanitary physician, Viktor Lyashko, said that our country will receive 100% of more than 8 million doses of the vaccine for free.
As OBOZREVATEL reported:
-
Agatha Demarais, an economist in the research unit of the British publication The Economist Group, said that Ukraine is the only European country that will not receive wide access to the vaccine, not only in March 2021, as they say in the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, but also next year in principle.

At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that there are people in Ukraine who can buy the vaccine themselves. But, according to him, eight million doses will be enough to vaccinate Ukrainians for free.
