Signing an agreement
Bahrain’s Foreign Minister expressed hope for “fruitful bilateral cooperation in all spheres” and peace in the region, including resolution of the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
Israel and Bahrain during negotiations in Manama on Sunday, October 18, signed an agreement on the establishment of diplomatic relations, according to the Israeli edition of the Times of Israel.
Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid al-Zayani called it a “historic step”.
Bahrain’s Foreign Minister expressed hope for “fruitful bilateral cooperation in all spheres” and peace in the region, including resolution of the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
“The Palestinian problem must be resolved through direct negotiations between the two parties to reach a solution that satisfies both parties and provides a solution to the two issues, in accordance with the principles of the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international law,” added.
Let us remember that in mid-September, Israel, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates signed an agreement to normalize relations. Israel has vowed to stop extending its sovereignty to settlements in the West Bank.
In addition, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his willingness to negotiate with Palestine as part of the “peace plan” of US President Donald Trump.
