The official versions of the new iPhone and HomePod mini speakers, which Apple will show at tonight’s presentation, have been posted on Twitter by well-known insider Evan Blass. The insider information finally put an end to all the intrigue: the renders posted by him, which are clearly taken from official advertising materials, confirm the design of the new generation of Apple smartphones.
Evan Blass confirms that four models will debut within the iPhone 12 line: the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini, 6.1-inch iPhone 12, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. … It also confirms that this is what Apple’s new smartphones will be called.
These renders are fully consistent with previous leaks, showing a redesigned design with distinctive on-screen fringe and the main camera in a square box in the upper left corner of the rear panel. While there are no side-view images, there is little doubt about previous leaks that point to flat edges like the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air models.
Images provided by experts confirm the iPhone 12’s color palette, including a new blue (replacing last year’s midnight green). In addition, they allow you to examine in detail the layout of the main camera of the older Pro versions with the LIDAR scanner (in the lower right corner).
Finally, there is also a render of a new mini model: the iPhone 12 Mini. According to preliminary data, with a screen diagonal of 5.4 inches, the iPhone 12 Mini will become the most compact Apple smartphone since the iPhone 5. That is, thanks to the thin bezels, the novelty should be more compact than the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and, therefore, the current iPhone SE 2020.
Which is noteworthy, visually, the bezels on the previous iPhone 12 Pro models look thinner than the base iPhone 12, which is predicted to be in the highest demand.
Apple’s Hi, Speed event, which will showcase the iPhone 12 and a mini version of HomePod, begins at 8:00 p.m. Kiev time.
