Of course, Usyk went down in history with an excellent performance and that cannot be disputed. But achieving such an achievement at cruiserweight is easier than in the heavyweight division, where you have to sacrifice even more and show true rock and roll.
At the same time, we note that Usyk is at “heavyweight” based on turbo mode. The fact is, a lot of super heavyweights would refuse to fight Alexander, because he’s not worth it, no one from the neighborhood wants to be declassified in the ring. Then the promoters would hit at least someone. However, the WBO rule turned out to be on the Ukrainian side, according to which, when moving to a new weight, the champion of this organization automatically becomes the main contender for the belt.
The WBO title now held by Anthony Joshuawho doesn’t want to box with Usik. The problem is that the Ukrainian will bring you little money, but the British can have a lot of problems. With so much risk, the champion would like to make a good check. WHAT ARE UUSIK AND CHISORA?
Everyone knows Usyk in world boxing as a representative of the school Anatoly Lomachenko… Alexander and Vasily’s work is very similar. If you look at other students of the first Ukrainian coach Sergei lapin, the difference is visible. Still, the “Ackerman Boxing School” workouts, as we think, influenced him the most.
The tendril for a person weighing more than 90 kg is extremely fast and resistant. Alexander has a great technical arsenal, excellent timing and a strong jaw, just like for a cruiserweight. It’s much more obvious if the veteran tries to get close to Alexander for the sake of a clinch, where he can hang onto an opponent. For what? The stamina of an Olympic champion will disappoint you when it carries half the fight of a 116 kilogram opponent. If you don’t make sure, then in infighting Chisora will be able to carry out at least some attacks.
Usyk is a huge favorite before this fight, which may not be entirely deserved. Yes, Alexander has a better chance of winning, but they don’t believe in the Brit at all, despite his enormous experience. At the same time, our ravings will not affect the fact that the Ukrainian will control the course of the fight and his speed, if Chisora does not use his plan, it will help him win in the same style as in battles with Krzysztof Głowacki Y Murat gassiev… It’s also a great question how Usyk’s head will react to Derek’s targeted hit.
