At this stage of the tournament, Pitmen’s rivals were Real Madrid, Italian Inter and Borussia Monchengladbach. ISPORT.ua prepared a selection of comments from the fans of these teams for the next meeting with Shakhtar.
Real Madrid
A large number of “creamy” fans ironically reacted to the draw in the form of a Donetsk Shakhtar. The fans once again remembered the “peculiarity” of the club’s president, Florentino Pérez, because it is Real that most often gets the weakest teams of all. It is difficult not to agree with this, because in the second basket, in addition to Shakhtar, there were: Manchester City, Manchester United, Borussia D, Chelsea and Ajax.

Fans were immediately reminded of the teams’ fights in the 2015/16 season. Then Real Madrid crushed the Pitmen with an aggregate score of 8: 3. But one of the fans believes that Shakhtar will be able to perform as well as Brugge, who drew in Madrid.

Fans of “nereadzuria” immediately remembered the teams’ fight in the semi-finals of the Europa League, where Inter destroyed Shakhtar.
“I’m sure Inter could have hit a tougher group. In good condition, we will be able to add points to Real. We already destroyed Shakhtar on August 17, but we will fight Borussia. The best possible group.”
However, there are also fans who are in no rush to draw conclusions from that match.

An Inter fan noted the peculiarity of the Pitmen: the Donetsk club performs well in the group stage.

Despite Inter’s nominal advantage, one of the fans points out that the Italians should not relax in the match against Shakhtar.
“Inter can always complicate life. Shakhtar are a very serious team, but we have to overtake them.”
Borussia M
One of the “white-green” fans thinks that this is not the best time to play for Shakhtar.
“Meet with Miner? We don’t need to go there now.”
The team’s fans summarized the results of the draw in an original way, highlighting two teams that would advance to the playoffs.
“The first place will be for Borussia. The second will be Shakhtar, but Inter and Real are eliminated.”
It is true that the other fan was more real.
“What a pity that the World Bank has such a group. Real Madrid and Inter are clear favorites and Shakhtar have excellent players.”
