A few hours before Intel’s presentation on the web, test results from the Core i9-10900K, the Comet Lake-S family’s 10-core flagship, appeared on the Cinebench R15 test bench. The source of the leak was the ASUS Republic of Gamers brand marketing materials. The slide also shows the performance of the 8-core Core i9-9900K (3.6 / 5.0 GHz) and the 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 3950X (3.5 / 4.7 GHz).
In the Cinebench R15 single-threaded test, the Intel Core i9-10900K scored 222 points, while the mentioned opponents completed it with 219 and 213 points. An advanced dynamic acceleration algorithm helped him get ahead. Thanks to Thermal Velocity Boost technology, the frequency of a core can be increased to 5.3 GHz, which should give the CPU a head start on a number of tasks, including video games.
The Core i9-10900K multithreaded benchmark was completed with 2,646 points. The new 10-core product is expected to be in the table between the Core i9-9900K (2025 points) and Ryzen 9 3950X (3932 points). Full reviews of the flagship Intel Comet Lake-S will be available in the second half of May.
