The Servant of the People parliamentary faction will not initiate the postponement of the second round of local elections in Ukraine. The party said in a statement posted on its Facebook page on October 21.
“The aforementioned initiative is the personal opinion of an individual deputy and does not coincide with the position of the Servant of the People party. In addition, the electoral process is on the finish line, so such changes in it are impossible,” the party said .

According to the explanatory note, the author considers that the main objective of the project is “to avoid an undue burden on the Ukrainian medical system”.
The Voters Committee of Ukraine said that if the second round of elections is canceled, a number of settlements will remain without a legitimate government.
Local elections in Ukraine are scheduled for October 25. Elections will be held throughout Ukraine, except in Russian-occupied Crimea and certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The electoral campaign began on September 5.
