Most Ukrainian businessmen will receive “quarantine” assistance in early 2021. Up to 50,000 applications are received daily.
Most of the Ukrainian businessmen who have applied for financial assistance due to the quarantine as of January 8, will receive assistance by the end of this year. We are talking about 300 thousand requests, according to the presidential press service.
“Almost 300 thousand requests for benefits for the next strengthening of quarantine measures will be satisfied by the end of the week. This is more than 90% of all requests received during the past week through the Diya application,” says the message .
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, all payments must be made before the start of the lockdown on January 8.
“The beginning of the year is always a holiday related weekend. We all know that government agencies run quite slowly. We have 710,000 individual entrepreneurs and business entities that must be paid. And this must be done before January 8. This is one of the government’s priorities, “Zelensky said.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmygal, recalled that requests for payment of one-time financial assistance to citizens and companies will be accepted until December 31.
Shmygal also added that as of December 21, the government begins to pay material assistance to entrepreneurs, whose activities will be limited as a result of the increased quarantine from January 8.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov, up to 50 thousand requests for assistance are received daily.
As a reminder, on the first day of the launch of the One-Time Financial Assistance service to private employers and employees, more than a thousand requests were registered per second. During the day, more than 33 thousand individual entrepreneurs submitted requests for financial assistance.
We add that in five days more than 200 thousand private entrepreneurs have requested financial aid. The president also recalled the compensation for the single social contribution and the partial strike.
