Indian authorities said doctors found lead and nickel in blood samples from people hospitalized with an unknown disease in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh. Reported by Reuters.
Teams of doctors, including those from New Delhi’s leading All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), are investigating the death of one person and the hospitalization of more than 400 people with the same symptoms in recent days.
The disease has infected more than 300 children, most of whom suffer from dizziness, fainting, headaches and vomiting. They have tested negative for Covid-19.
Remember an outbreak of an unknown disease in Andhra Pradesh and the surrounding area started last Sunday. Doctors conducted various tests on the victims, but could not establish the cause of the ailments.
