On December 12, icy and icy conditions are expected over almost the entire territory of Ukraine, and a yellow hazard level is declared. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service, referring to the data of the forecasters.

“On December 12, ice on the roads of Ukraine, ice in the western (except Transcarpathia), central, eastern and northern regions (danger level I, yellow) in the afternoon,” says the message.

Road ice is also forecast in Kiev and the Kiev region at night on December 11 and in the afternoon. There, too, the first level of danger is declared.

“Weather conditions can cause traffic disruption on certain sections of the highway,” rescuers warned.

Weather conditions in Ukraine worsened on December 10 due to sleet and rain. Due to the ice, traffic was interrupted: “Ukrzaliznytsia” reported train delays, rescuers warned of temporary restrictions on the movement of trucks and buses in the Zhytomyr, Kiev, Rivne, Ternopil and Khmelnytsky regions. There were problems with public transport in the capital.

Furthermore, due to the ice in Kiev on December 10, 163 people sought help with injuries.
