In Ukraine, on January 1, 2021, the maximum tax for each “additional” square of real estate was increased from 62.5 to 70.8 UAH.

This is stated in the OBOZREVATEL material. The area of a house of 120 square meters and an apartment – 60 square meters is considered superfluous. Last year’s payments are received. So in 2021, you’ll have to pay for 2020. Each “additional” real estate owner will receive a receipt (by July 1).

From the moment the receipt is delivered, 60 days are given to pay the tax. Its size depends on the locality. Local authorities have the right to set the rate, but its size cannot exceed 1.5% of the minimum wage. In 2020, it is 62.5 UAH, and in 2021 – 70.8 UAH.

Also, local authorities may increase the “fee”. For example, take taxes for apartments with an area that does not exceed 60, but 70 square meters. Suppose the local government has established a maximum rate and a minimum rate per area.

In 2020, for an apartment of 80 beds (20 square meters “extra”) it was necessary to pay 1,250 UAH, and in 2021, 1,416 UAH would have to be paid for the same apartment.

We will recall, OBOZREVATEL previously wrote, that sole proprietors who have already retired by age can no longer pay themselves a unified social contribution (ERU).

Ukrainians have the right to return part of the income tax paid (personal income tax, 18% of salary). If last year the taxpayer paid for education (his son’s), paid interest on a mortgage, spent money on medical treatment, paid insurance (including pension).
