In Ukraine, only two cities remain in the red zone

The stricter quarantine restrictions will be maintained from next week only in Ternopil and Kanev.

The state and regional commissions of security and technogenic and environmental emergencies on Thursday, October 1, updated the quarantine zones.

Only two cities entered the red quarantine zone: Ternopil and Kanev.

Remember that on September 16 Ukraine changed the criteria for quarantine zoning. From now on, the joint decision of the commissions will be made in the event that more than 75% of the beds in the hospitals are loaded for five days in a row, the average incidence rate of cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 14 days is more than five times greater.

It is worth noting that in Ukraine, there has been a record daily increase of COVID-19 for two days: more than 4,000 cases. And the WHO predicts that the daily incidence of coronavirus in Ukraine will double in the coming months, ranging from 7,000 to 9,000 cases per day.
