The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine since the beginning of the epidemic has reached 293 641, 5517 people have become victims of the disease.
During October 16 in Ukraine, the coronavirus was confirmed in 6410 people, 109 patients died. This is evidenced by data from the monitoring system of the Security and National Defense Council of Ukraine, published on October 17.
This is a new record. The previous one was registered on October 15, when 5,992 people were infected with the coronavirus per day.

In one day 2,194 people were recovered; in all, 124,113 patients have been cured since the start of the epidemic.
