In Ukraine, according to the Pension Fund, most of the Ukrainians after the March 1 indexation received an increase of only about 100 UAH. And from UAH 1000 – only 261 thousand people. Read about who and how the payments were increased in the OBOZREVATEL article.
In total, 7.91 million people will receive (or have already received) the increase. Theoretically, another 2.25 million could receive an increase, but their real pension is already higher than the calculated one by more than 11%.
So:
-
3.5 million people or 46.3% received an increase of 100 UAH;
-
from 100.01 to 400 UAH received 2.5 million or 31.8%;
-
from 400.01 to 500 UAH received 601 thousand or 7.6%;
-
from 500.01 to 700 UAH – 553 thousand or 7%;
-
from 700.01 to 1000 UAH – 316 thousand or 4%;
-
more than UAH 1000, only 261 thousand or 3.3%.
The new calculation was made by: Ukrainians who retired by age and according to the general rules;
the military; Victims of Chernobyl.
For the calculation, the “net” pension was multiplied by 1.11. The “net” amount is considered without seniority allowances, an increase in payment to the level of the subsistence minimum (if less), an addition of 500 UAH for retirees over 80 and an increase in payment of up to 2,400 UAH for those who are 65 years old and have met the experience requirements. For example, if the “net” pension is not less than 9,090 UAH, the increase will be 1,000 UAH. Why are pensions going down anyway?
Now retired Ukrainians receive about 28.7% of the last salarythey say in the Ministry of Social Policy. Little by little this figure will decrease to 18%… For example, with a salary of 10 thousand hryvnias, now you can receive about 2.87 thousand hryvnias, and in 2055, under the same conditions, it is already 1.8 thousand hryvnias.
“There is an explanation for such indicators: 13.2 million employees pay contributions and 11.2 million pensioners receive pensions“, – said the Minister of Social Policy Marina Lazebnaya.
And this is still a relatively positive outlook. Prime Minister Denis Shmygal believes that in 15 years Ukrainians (if nothing is changed) will not receive any pension. The reason is the same: the demographic situation.
“There will be few healthy people and many retirees. The ratio will be 1 to 2. We will have to double taxes so that retirees can be sustained. Businesses no longer want to raise taxes. Doubling them is impossible. We will not be able to pay pensions to future pensioners in 15 years. It’s simple math“, – said the prime minister.
Why will pensions decrease?
-
since 2017 reduced the “cost” of each year of experience… As a result, all pensioners under the new rules receive 26% lower payments;
-
in the 2000s toughened experience requirements: the period of training, the time the employee was “registered”, but did not receive a salary, etc. they were no longer counted in it;
-
in 2016 halved the unified social contribution Salary (ERU): replenish the budget of the Pension Fund;
-
the demographic situation in the country is deteriorating: the number of workers is decreasing and the number of retirees (in percentage terms) is growing;
-
in Ukraine low wages, high level of the black economy.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, in Ukraine, from July 1, the subsistence minimum for the disabled will be increased by 85 UAH. As a result, the minimum pension will increase by 85 UAH to 1,854 UAH, and the maximum pension – from 850 UAH to 18,540 UAH.
