A total of 14,710 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed since the start of the pandemic in Ukraine, of the total cases, 376 died, 2909 recovered.
In Ukraine, 515 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease were detected per day. About this on the Facebook page reports the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

- Transcarpathian region: 678 cases;
- Zaporizhzhya region – 320 cases;
- Ivano-Frankivsk region – 1095 cases;
- Kirovograd region – 411 cases;
- Kiev City – 1771 cases;
- Kiev region – 959 cases;
- Lviv region – 699 cases;
- Lugansk Region – 42 cases;
- Nikolaev region – 204 cases;
- Odessa Region – 619 cases;
- Poltava Region – 240 cases;
- Rivne Region – 877 cases;
- Sumy Region – 152 cases;
- Ternopil Region – 977 cases;
- Kharkov region – 528 cases;
- Kherson Region – 156 cases;
- Khmelnitsky region – 165 cases;
- Chernivtsi Region – 2,179 cases;
- Cherkasy Region – 333 cases;
- Chernihiv region – 73 cases.
An outbreak of COVID-19 coronavirus infection started in late 2019 in China. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization announced the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
On the morning of May 8, 3,939,119 people were infected with the coronavirus worldwide (+92 thousand per day). 274,917 people (+5.3 thousand) became victims of COVID-19, 1,322,289 people (+36.5 thousand) recovered.
