Five Ukrainians and a Russian rescued from the ship Arvin, which sank off the coast of Turkey in the Black Sea, are in a hospital in the city of Bartin, in northern Turkey. The search continues for five more citizens of Ukraine and one citizen of the Russian Federation.

At the Embassy of Ukraine in Turkey reportedthat the Ukrainians were saved:
- Gennady Kravchenko;
- Vladislav Zaterka;
- Alexander Perkaty;
- Vitaly Merezhko;
- Vitaly Kachnur.
“Our citizens are now in the Bartin City State Hospital (in northern Turkey). Their health is satisfactory. Search and rescue operations are continuing,” the statement said.

The Russian embassy in Ankara on Facebook reported that Russian citizen Nikolai Krinov was also rescued.
“Among the six rescued, a Russian citizen Krinov, the ship’s senior technician. He is currently in a hospital in the city of Bartin, his condition is stable, there is no threat to life. The fate of another Russian citizen is unknown,” the department said.
According to the citizen of the Russian Federation, the tragedy was caused by bad weather conditions.
January 17 at The dry freighter Arvin sank off the Black Sea coast of Turkey. According to Nikolenko, there were 10 Ukrainians and two foreigners on board.
