As reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odessa region, the incident occurred in the Limansky district.
A girl received a gunshot wound to both legs and her friend received a stomach wound. Both were transferred to a medical center, their condition is now satisfactory.

According to preliminary information, the children were playing in the yard and ran to the barn, where a homemade device exploded, which the father of one of the girls installed to scare off thieves. Parents at this time were in the house. The police decide the question of entering information on the state of emergency in the Unified Register of Preliminary Investigations under article 128 (Serious or moderate bodily injury due to negligence) and part 1 of art. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Penal Code.
