In the finalized draft of the state budget of Ukraine for 2021, the financing of the apparatus of the Ministry of Health is proposed by 12% more than in the first reading, calculated Ukrinform.

The draft law on the state budget of Ukraine for 2021, prepared for the second reading, proposes to increase the funding of the Ministry of Health and its programs by 2.6%. This was announced by Ukrinform on November 27 after analyzing the document.

The bill prepared for the second reading provides for spending on medicines of 159.19 billion UAH.

The financing of the apparatus of the Ministry of Health was allocated to UAH 35,241 million, which is 12% more than the state budget project approved in the first reading.

At the same time, it was proposed to allocate 2.644 million UAH to public health programs and measures to combat epidemics, 2.3% less than the version of the state budget approved in first reading.

Proposed state budget for 2021 Posted on September 14. In the initial version, budgetary income was forecast at the level of UAH 1.071 trillion, expenses – UAH 1.35 trillion. Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine November 5 approved the project in first reading.

On November 26, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft state budget of Ukraine for 2021 for the second reading. Its deficit was reduced compared to the first reading version.

On November 27, the government submitted the revised state budget project for 2021 for consideration to the Verkhovna Rada.

On November 26, Ukraine’s Ministry of Health said that the needs to combat COVID-19 are fully funded.
