In the Cherkasy region there are already 15 deaths from COVID-19

The region is currently treating 121 people with laboratory confirmed coronavirus cases.

In the Cherkassy region, the number of deaths from the COVID-19 coronavirus per day increased by three, to 15. This was announced by the head of local regional state administration Roman Bodnar on his Facebook page.

“Today, there are 342 cases of coronavirus infection in the region. For one day + 1 – the city of Kanev. But, unfortunately, we have three fatal cases,” Bodnar wrote.

According to him, a 43-year-old Cherkasy resident died with COVID-19, who had a concomitant pathology: diabetes mellitus, insulin dependent; Cherkassy resident, 83, who had a severe form of stroke and pneumonia; a 72-year-old man with COVID-19, who had severe pneumonia.

“Today in the region of 15 deaths: 13 – Cherkasy, 1 – Uman, 1 – Kamenka. 121 people are now being treated with laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19, 21 people are in hospital,” said the head of the Regional State Administration and added that 206 residents of the region have already recovered.

Since the beginning of the quarantine, the Cherkasy Regional Laboratory Center conducted 9,410 PC tests during the last 24 hours – 95.

Recall that on May 10 in Ukraine 416 new cases of coronavirus were detected. This is the lowest figure in four days. The total number of cases in the country increased to 15,648 people, 408 died, 3,288 recovered.
