Ukrainian law enforcement officers have found a cache of ammunition in the center of Kiev. RIA Novosti reports on this with reference to the press service of the country’s Security Service.
In the Pechersk district of the capital, a synchronous was found with a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives. The arsenal was kept in the basement of the Presidium building of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences, located near the administrative buildings of the corps. During the searches, the security forces seized four RPGs, two machine guns, almost 40 RGD-5 and F-1 grenades, as well as several pistols, two artillery shells and a large quantity of cartridges for the machine gun.
The searches continue. The academy directors were under suspicion and a criminal case was opened. The administration is also suspected of legalizing assets obtained through criminal means and obtaining illegal profits. Law enforcement agents seized documentation and material evidence that could confirm the illegal actions of the officials.
In June, Bandera’s cache of 70-year-old documents was found in the Lviv region. Historical treasure hunters accidentally found a find in the forest while walking with a metal detector. Among the finds are books, documents and magazines dating from 1940-1950. It is also claimed that a military ID of a 1948 NKVD employee was found (the department was transformed into the Ministry of the Interior in 1946 – approx. “Lenta.ru”), which “attempted to enter the ranks of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA, a banned organization in Russia).”
