Health Minister Maksim Stepanov spoke about the changes in the quarantine zones and the morbidity situation in Ukraine, referring to the results of the meeting of the State Commission on BTE and Emergencies on September 18. According to him, in regions where restrictive measures were met, the number of infections is decreasing. And the most alarming situation is in Ternopil.
The minister’s words are published on Facebook by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
According to Stepanov, as of September 21, the “red” level of epidemiological security will operate in 14 administrative units, while today it is established in 37 cities and regions. Therefore, the number of “red” administrative units will be reduced by 23.
Restrictions for “red” zones are determined by the State Commission for the Fuel and Energy Sector and Emergency Situations at the suggestion of the regional commissions. They will be installed on Monday, September 21.
Certain cities and districts left the “red” zone, including Ivano-Frankivsk, Kolomyia and Kalush, Izmail and Bolgradsky district of Odessa region, Dubno city of Rivne region, Ternopil city and others.
Kiev remained on the list of regions with an “orange” level of epidemic danger. In total, 85 administrative units are assigned to him, which is one less than a week ago.
The “yellow” zone includes 236 administrative units, 63 more than on September 10.
Stepanov noted that the incidence in Ternopil is 4.97 times higher than the average in Ukraine over the past 14 days. There is also a high incidence rate during the last 14 days in the city of Berezhany, Ternopil region, more than 699 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. This is 17 times higher than the benchmark indicator (40 per 100,000 population) and 7 times the Ukrainian average.
