In Russia, a military man accidentally fired a 30mm cannon at a shopping mall while repairing equipment and weapons on a fleet of military vehicles, the Pskov garrison command said. about this on Friday, December 25, reports TASS.
According to the command, the shooting was unintentional, no one was injured.
“There was an involuntary firing of a 30mm cannon. A metal blank without explosive at the end of its trajectory fell on the outskirts of the city on an uninhabited building. As a result of the incident, no one was injured,” the message says.
They added that together with law enforcement agencies, they are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
According to the REN-TV channel, the corporal inadvertently fired a shot from the barrel of the BMD-4 combat landing vehicle, as a result of which a projectile from the training ground hit the roof of one of the shopping centers.
The Baza Telegram channel clarified that it was the Fjord Plaza shopping center: according to him, the target broke the roof of the building and ended up on the second floor of the Detsky Mir store. For this reason, 300 people were evacuated from the shopping center.
Baza wrote that the military man accidentally fired two shots, the second blank was not found.
