The Kaliningrad court found spouses Antonina Zimina and Konstantin Antonets guilty of high treason for posting wedding photos and videos with an FSB officer.

This was reported by the Sever.Realii edition. Zimin was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime colony, Antonets, to 12 years and six months in a strict regime.

In addition, the spouses will have to pay 100 thousand rubles each in the form of a fine. And after serving your sentence, your freedom will be limited for one more year.

The defendants did not admit their guilt. According to Zimina’s father, Konstantin Zimin, the verdict was announced behind closed doors.

The spouses’ attorney said the verdict would be appealed.

Let us remember that the director of the Baltic Center for Dialogue of Cultures Antonina Zimina and her husband Konstantin Antonets were arrested in July 2018. Since then, the couple has been in a remand prison.

They were accused that in the video and photographs of their wedding, the Latvian special services identified the current FSB officer, Maxim Denisenko, who was invited to the celebration.

In addition, investigators claim that Antonets allegedly transferred secret documents to the Latvian intelligence service using his home computer, which he had access to thanks to his work at the Kaliningrad Region Ministry of Economy.
