in Russia announced that they will soon provide water to Simferopol

Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that the occupied Crimea, namely Sevastopol, will soon receive full water.

He wrote about this on his Instagram page. Please note that there is now a severe water shortage throughout the peninsula. Ukraine in 2014, after the occupation, blocked the Northern Crimean Canal.

Khusnullin believes that the water supply to Sevastopol was greatly facilitated by the transfer of water from the Kadykovsky quarry and the Belbek river.

“I thank the governor (the so-called head of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev – Ed.) For the good work, for the prompt and correct decision on the water supply of the Kadykovsky quarry and the Belbek river. The work is progressing as planned, they have been found additional sources, so we hope that soon Sevastopol will be supplied completely with water.“, – wrote Khusnullin.

Earlier in Crimea, the “authorities” met to solve the water problem by drilling new wells, desalinating seawater and artificial sediments. So far, none of the ideas have been successful.
