In the Rivne region, at the railway station in the city of Radivilov, the Nikolaev-Ivano-Frankivsk-Rakhiv train caught fire. This happened while driving.

This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the State Emergency Service.

The message about the fire was received on January 2 at 10:40 am through the hotline “101”.

“During the movement, an electric train in the Nikolaev-Ivano-Frankivsk-Rakhiv post caught fire at the railway station in the city of Radivilov … Rescuers found that the fire occurred in body number 1 of the second section in the engine-compressor area of ​​the gearbox in the middle of the locomotive’s body, “report the rescuers.

The firefighters with the help of fire extinguishers put out the fire and supplied a barrel of water to cool the motor-compressor. They avoided the outbreak of fire.

It is noted that there are no casualties or injuries among the passengers and personnel of the electric train.

The electric train consisted of 12 wagons, in which 228 passengers and 26 drivers were traveling.

It is noted that all the passengers were evacuated by police officers together with railway employees.

We recall that at the end of December near Poltava a train car caught fire, which was being repaired. The incident killed two people.
