In Paris, the newsroom of the weekly Charlie Hebdo was attacked, where in 2015 two jihadist brothers shot and killed 12 people for publishing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in the weekly.
According to preliminary data, four people were injured as a result of today’s attack, two of them are in critical condition. This is reported by the BBC with reference to French Prime Minister Jean Casteks.
The building has been cordoned off by police, a suspicious package has been found and two suspects in the attack are being searched, police said.
It is clarified that in early September, Charlie Hebdo republished the cartoons, which five years ago provoked the outrage of many Muslims. The reissue was timed to coincide with the 2015 trial of the assault suspects.
Previously, “Country burned Notre Dame de Paris appeared on the cover of Charlie Hebdo in the form of a tough Macron cartoon.”
We also report that Putin appeared on the cover of Charlie Hebdo in a tank pointing at a soccer goal.
