Police and activists stopped a caravan with red flags in Odessa

Representatives of two parties organized a car race with red flags. They were detained by police and activists.

The police, along with activists in Odessa, blocked a convoy of cars with red flags: it was a race for Victory Day. UNIAN reports it on Saturday, May 9.

The demonstration was organized by the Opposition Platform Party – For Life and the Sharia Party. It was supposed to start from the port of Odessa.

It is worth noting that in the convoy of several dozen vehicles there were many cars with the designation “taxi”. Party flags as well as red banners with the words “May 9. Thank you for the victory” and the Ukrainian flags were affixed to the cars.

Then the police and activists blocked the exit. Just an hour later, the cars began to pass, but with a significant interval between each other, as they had previously removed the red flags from the cars. Several cars were lost without turning after the driver passed the flags.

The public organization Oberig stated that its organizers were trying to create an image for pro-Russian propaganda by rally: to create the appearance of a rally, they tried to find taxi drivers driving around the city with flags issued for a monetary reward.

“They suggested coming to the seaport, getting the flag. For two hours, traveling empty and then passing the flag with the 411 battery,” they say.

It is noted that the deputy of the People’s Servant Rada Artyom Dmitruk arrived to support the protesters. Then there was a skirmish between him and the activists.

Police said law enforcement officers react to the movement of car convoys and carry out preventive work.

Let’s remember that Zelensky put flowers in the Eternal Flame. The head of state honored the memory of those killed in World War II and placed flowers in the Eternal Flame in Kiev.

Never again: Zelensky turned to the Ukrainians
