New York Mayor Bill de Blasio reported the spread among children of an inflammatory syndrome believed to be associated with the coronavirus. He said this on Sunday, May 10.

This information was confirmed by State Governor Andrew Cuomo. He specified that 85 cases of the specified syndrome are controlled in the region. Three children could die from its consequences, the youngest of whom was five years old.
The symptoms of the inflammatory syndrome are observed to be similar to Kawasaki disease (inflammatory injury to the arteries) and infectious toxic shock.
Some of the children have already been screened for coronaviruses. Of these, 47% were infected and 81% contained antibodies in the body.
