In New York, a car crashed into a crowd of about 50 during a rally by activists from the Black Lives Matter movement.
The protesters surrounded the car and began trying to break down the doors to reach the driver.

The incident in the Manhattan area occurred after 4 p.m. local time. The car crashed into a crowd of protesters allegedly defending starving inmates in a New Jersey prison.

According to law enforcement officers, the protesters took to the road and surrounded the car, which eventually pounced on the crowd. All victims will be taken to hospitals, received non-life threatening injuries.

It is observed that a woman was driving the car, she was taken to the local police station for questioning. There is no information yet on whether she will be charged. It is known that several protesters were also arrested.
The city police department on Twitter asked city residents to avoid the area of the incident, an investigation is ongoing.
