“On the way to Yakub Kolas Square, grandmothers and grandfathers walked near the Moscow State Linguistic University to support the students. They greeted the retirees with shouts of gratitude and white, red and white flags from the windows,” says the message.

The protesting retirees lined up in a solidarity chain in the Plaza de Octubre. Then they reached the Plaza de la Victoria. Several times the girls from the stopped cars ran up to them, gave them sweets and gave them flowers.

It should be recalled that the Belarusian security forces arrested 317 people for participating in unauthorized Sunday protests.

Protesters in Minsk were also reported to have smashed a water cannon, which was attempting to disperse them.
