The attacker threatened with explosives and demanded the arrival of police, journalists and special services. The siloviki took the apartment by storm, nobody did anything.
In Mariupol, Donetsk region, on Thursday, December 10, a man took hostages in a bank and threatened him with explosives, according to local TV7 channel, citing police.
It is noted that the incident took place after lunch on Leporsky Street.
According to the police, the attacker entered the bank with a knife and threatened the employees of the institution with explosives. The message about the seizure of the bank was received on line “102”, after which police, rescuers and doctors were sent to the scene.
The kidnapper took three bank employees hostage and demanded the arrival of the police, journalists, the head of the surprise operative force, and the explosives service.
The man did not mention any other requirements. He also refused to exchange civilians for policemen. After that, the police decided to raid the bank to capture the invader.
“The hostages were released. None of the civilians were injured,” police said.
On the fact of the incident, a case was opened under the article on hostage-taking (article 147 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Police noted that the man had no signs of alcohol or drug intoxication. The box was not explosive, but an object that looked like a video camera.

An unknown person entered a bank branch in the city center, said he had a bomb and asked to call the police. Later it was learned that the invader of the Kiev bank branch was arrested. The Uzbek who took over the building left the apartment almost three hours later and was detained by special forces. Later he was sent to a psychiatric hospital.
