Investigators from the State Investigation Office exposed a group of law enforcement officers who demanded a bribe from a citizen. The suspicion was reported to the deputy director of the criminal police department and two officers from one of the National Police departments in Kiev.

According to preliminary information, law enforcement officers kept a Ukrainian citizen in the garage and demanded a bribe from him for failing to take action regarding the possible storage of amber.

The press service of the Attorney General’s Office clarified that the Police demanded that the citizen pay a thousand dollars a month. However, when they met to receive the first payment, they announced a new amount of $ 3,000.
