The Ukrainian Interior Ministry announced a possible traffic restriction on certain streets in the center of the capital due to the actions of car owners on the European license plates in the government quarter.
In the government quarter of Kiev, law enforcement officials have increased security measures due to the mass protests announced today. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of the Interior on Telegram.
The protest actions, in particular, were announced under the Verkhovna Rada building, the ministry noted. The event organizers announced the attraction of vehicles to the campaign. In this sense, it is possible to restrict traffic on certain streets in the center of the capital.
“In order to prevent violations of public order during the planned demonstrations in the center of Kiev, the police, together with the military of the National Guard of Ukraine, took greater vigilance,” the message says.
On September 2, an action by car owners is planned in Kiev, according to the Facebook page “Auto Euro Power”. They demand that the committee approve Law No. 3704, which provides for exemption from payment of value added tax “import operations in the customs territory of Ukraine in the customs regime of importation of vehicles for personal use” for participants in hostilities, persons with disabilities due to war, as well as the state awards of Ukraine.
