In Kiev, a thousand cyclists lie down on the square

The VeloTetris Challenge has replaced the traditional bicycle parade in the center of the capital. Cyclists with bicycles lie down at a safe distance.

A traditional cycling day took place in Kiev on Saturday, September 12, however, due to the quarantine, it happened in an unconventional way: its participants lay down on the square, UNIAN reports.

It is noted that this year the event was limited by quarantine, so its participants did not organize a traditional parade in the city. Instead, the cyclists participated in the VeloTetris Challenge of Ukraine: the participants of the action lay down at a safe distance in Sofia Square, placed their bikes on them and took a general photo.

According to the organizers, the format of the flash mob allowed the safe accommodation of a thousand cyclists in the Plaza Sofía.
