In Kiev, rescuers put out a fire in a 25-story residential building on Sikorsky Street, near the US embassy. An apartment on the 24th floor was smashed. The fire and smoke raged so fiercely that the woman from the apartment climbed out of the window and sought salvation, standing on the high-rise air conditioner.

According to the State Emergency Service, 43 people and 11 teams participated in extinguishing the fire. The firefighters managed to save their owner from the burning apartment. But later, rescuers found the body of a man at the scene of the fire.

“At 18:03, a fire was located in an apartment on the 24th floor of a skyscraper on Sikorsky Street, 4. A male body was found at the scene of the fire,” the message says.

Earlier, “Strana” wrote that in the Kharkiv region a tractor driver saved dozens of houses from fire and received a medal.
