In total, there are already 1,494 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Ukrainian capital.

The number of people in Kiev, who in the last 24 hours of laboratory confirmed the disease with coronavirus infection, increased by 41, five of them are doctors. The mayor of the capital Vitali Klitschko announced this on May 2 on Telegram.

In total, according to Klitschko, there are already 1,494 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the capital. Among the sick on the last day, 22 women from 29 to 83 years old, 19 men from 21 to 84 years old.

“One of them is from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and the other is a priest from the Temple of Saint Theodore Sanctified on Ovrutskaya Street in the capital,” he added.



As of the morning of May 2, in Ukraine, COVID-19 was affected by 11,411 people, a total of 279 have died since the start of the epidemic, 1,498 recovered.

An outbreak of COVID-19 coronavirus infection started in December 2019 in China. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization announced the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
