40 coronavirus patients were hospitalized in the capital every day
The number of new coronavirus cases on the eve fell by more than two times compared to the previous day, but the number of deaths remained almost unchanged.
During the last day, 408 Kiev residents were diagnosed with coronavirus infection, 13 residents died and 161 recovered. The daily increase has more than halved compared to the previous day, when 1,038 cases of coronavirus were detected. This was announced on Saturday, December 26, by the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko.
“408 patients with coronavirus were found in the capital during the last day. 13 people died. In total, the coronavirus claimed the lives of 1,829 inhabitants of Kiev,” wrote the mayor of Kiev.
The total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Kiev is currently 106,486.
Yesterday the coronavirus was detected in: 229 women, 146 men, 14 girls from 3 months to 17 years and 19 children from 5 months to 16 years. In particular, 16 doctors fell ill.
“40 patients were hospitalized in hospitals in the capital. The rest are in self-isolation, under the supervision of doctors. 161 people have recovered during the last day. In total, 37 130 Kiev residents have overcome the coronavirus,” said the mayor.
The majority of cases of the disease in the last day were found in the Darnytskyi region – 147, in Desniansky – 83, in the Obolonsky region – 45 cases.
We will recall, in Ukraine, as of Saturday morning, 7709 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded.
A day earlier, 1,038 cases of coronavirus were detected per day in Kiev, while 1208 patients recovered.
