Arson fire in the synagogue in Kherson: arrested intruders
Two attackers threw a Molotov cocktail at the synagogue in late April. Security authorities say the boys also planned provocations on May 9.
Suspected arson synagogues were detained in Kherson on April 20. This was reported by the SBU press service on Saturday, May 9.
The attackers were two types, fanatics of the Nazi ideology. The boys, by arson, decided to “celebrate” the anniversary of Adolf Hitler’s birth.
“The SBU operatives identified the arsonists and established that on the 75th anniversary of the victory over Nazism, they are preparing new provocations. Both attackers were arrested on May 9,” the SBU said.
Recall that previously in Krivoy Rog a vandal was detained who desecrated the monument to the victims of the Holocaust. Police officers and SBU employees worked on more than 50 video surveillance cameras. They managed to track the attacker’s route.
Vandals were also reported to have destroyed 59 monuments in a Jewish cemetery in Slovakia. The cemetery has recently completed restoration work, which lasted more than 10 years.
