In Kharkov, there was a large fire on the territory of the “Barabashovo” shopping center. The fire broke out on the night of Saturday, November 28. The fire was extinguished by 15 teams of rescuers in tanker trucks, as well as by 6 special vehicles.
This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
“The fire was reported at 02:39. The commercial pavilions at the site on the Prospektnaya street side were on fire. The fire was detected by the facility’s guards. At that time, the fire had covered about 20 pavilions At night they were closed, there were no people there, “reports the press. -the center of the State Emergency Service.
About 100 people are involved in putting out the fire. Rescue teams deployed hoses and drove 12 fire nozzles into the fire. The protection of neighboring pavilions was also organized. Due to the strong smoke, rescuers had to work on compressed air devices to protect the respiratory system.
“Thanks to the actions of the firefighters, the damage from the fire was minimized. About 85 pavilions that were on the site were saved from the fire. However, the fire managed to destroy 25 ”, added the official.
According to the State Emergency Service, the location of the fire occurred at 04:17. Now the forces of the State Emergency Service continue to work at the site. There are no casualties. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
This is not the first fire in the largest market in Ukraine. On the night of April 15-16, “Barabashovo” was also on fire in Kharkov, the administration believes that arson was the cause of the fire.
In addition, at the beginning of the year there was anarchy in the market. As a result, the police arrested and handed over 53 people to the Kievsky regional department. More than 100 people participated in the clashes.
