Since the beginning of the search work in Nagorno-Karabakh, around 350 Armenian military bodies have been found. The ombudsman of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Artak Beglaryan, announced it on his Facebook.
In addition to the soldiers, the bodies of three civilians were found near the town of Shushi, who were “brutally murdered by the Azerbaijani army military”. We also managed to find and rescue an injured Karabakh policeman who spent six days in the forest.
The search began on November 13 and negotiations are underway to expand its geography.
The search work is carried out by the peacekeeping mission of the Russian Federation, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Karabakh State Emergency Service with the assistance of the Karabakh Ministry of Defense.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu mentioned the number of refugees who returned to Nagorno-Karabakh after Russian peacekeepers provided them with convoy transport. “As of today, almost 7 thousand citizens have returned. This work continues, and I am sure that everyone who wants to return to Nagorno-Karabakh will be able to do so, ”he said at the talks in Yerevan.
On November 21, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the trilateral declaration on the end of the war in Nagorno-Karabakh adopted by Moscow, Baku and Yerevan in early November as indisputable. According to the document, the Armenian and Azerbaijani parties remained in the positions held by them during the hostilities that began on September 27. Three more regions will be transferred under Baku control before December 1. Russian peacekeepers are stationed along the line of contact and the corridor connecting Karabakh with Armenia.
