Georgia withdrew its Kiev ambassador to protect relations between countries from adventurous politicians. Georgian Prime Minister Georgy Gakharia told reporters on Saturday, May 9, according to News-Georgia.

“We remember the ambassador only to consult him on how to protect these relations from adventurers. What to do to protect strategic and fraternal relations with the Ukrainian people from these adventurous politicians, who, unfortunately, because their incomprehensible personal ambitions and their ego risk our relationship” Gaharia said.

The head of government once again pointed out that nothing threatens strategic relations with Ukraine.

“The situation is as follows: Of course, Georgians and Ukrainians are not just strategic partners. We have a long history of cooperation. Due to irresponsible politicians, we will not question this strategic partnership and fraternity between our countries and peoples,” he added. .

At the same time, the Prime Minister made it clear that he feared Saakashvili would interfere in Georgia’s internal affairs. Gakharia wants to get assurances from the Ukrainian side that this will not happen.

Recall, on the eve of Georgia, the ambassador to Ukraine was called by the appointment of Saakashvili as head of the executive committee for the reform of Ukraine. Zelensky, in turn, said this was a mistake.
