A Ukrainian soldier disappeared in the Donbas, it became known on January 28 during a personnel check in one of the units of a military unit in the area of the Joint Forces (JF) operation.
As reported by the press service of the tactical group “Skhid” on its Facebook page, the search activities did not return any results. The soldier disappeared while on duty at one of the platoon’s fortresses, the message says.
The weapons and ammunition of the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine remained at the place of service.
“He is characterized by his military colleagues as an exceptionally calm and balanced person, there were no situations of conflict with anyone. According to available information, this soldier is in territory not controlled by the government of Ukraine.
Earlier it was learned that a soldier from the 14th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Pupko, was captured by the Russian occupation forces in the Lugansk region, where a military unit maintains defense.
The militants captured the soldier in the area of the occupied Slavyanoserbsk settlement, but later returned him to Ukraine.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the senior soldier of the 53rd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Kim Duvanov, who was released from captivity of militants in Donbass during a large exchange at the end of 2019, passed away.
The soldier died of heart problems, the wife of the deceased soldier was left alone with two children.
