In Donbass, the deputy was accused of participating in the “referendum”

In the Donetsk region, the prosecution accused the deputy of the Liman City Council of participating in the so-called “referendum” of the separatists “DPR” in 2014. This was reported by the regional prosecutor’s office on Friday, November 6.

A 49-year-old resident of Liman was established as “a member of the precinct and territorial electoral commissions during the” referendum “on the recognition of the independence of the” Donetsk People’s Republic “on May 11, 2014.

After the illegal voting ended, the protocols and other documents confirming their participation were transferred to the occupation administration in the Donetsk region.

The prosecution charges the woman under the article on invasion of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine (part 2 of article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The accusation has been sent to court. The deputy faces a prison sentence of five to 10 years with or without confiscation of assets.

As previously reported, in the Donetsk region, deputies of the village council are suspected of separatism. In an extraordinary session in 2014, they decided to hold a “referendum” on secession from Ukraine.

It was also reported that a participant in the “referendum” of the separatists “DPR” was arrested in Mariupol. He served as a “member of the electoral commission” in one of the “electoral colleges”
