In occupied Crimea, Massandra’s oldest winery was sold at auction to the Yuzhny Project company for 5.327 million rubles ($ 72.8 million). The company is associated with businessman Yuri Kovalchuk, who is the person closest to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s circle.

The information was published on the official website of Russia to publish information about the tender, reports “Kryminform”.

The so-called Crimean Ministry of Property and Agrarian Relations, which owns 100% of Massandra shares, carried out the sale.

The plant was founded in 1892 by Prince Golitsyn. “Massandra” Before the Crimean occupation, it was one of the largest companies in Ukraine and Europe, producing high-quality vintage wines. It is located in the village of Massandra on the southern coast of the peninsula. Massandra’s wine collection (approximately 1 million bottles) is one of the largest in the world and was entered in 1998 in the Guinness Book of Records.

The Massandra holding includes 9 primary and secondary winemaking factories and 3 independent factories. The parent company is Yalta Vintage Wine Factory.

The news is complemented …

The company “Yuzhny Project” is a subsidiary of the Bank “Russia” whose main shareholder is billionaire Yury Kovalchuk.

The Russian newspaper Proekt points out that Kovalchuk is perhaps the person closest to Putin. In 2008, he hired State Duma deputy Alina Kabaeva at his media holding company, shortly before the publication of his possible wedding to the president.

One of the co-owners of the Rossiya bank and the ski resort where the bank invested was an old acquaintance of Putin, who gave birth to a boy very similar to him. Kovalchuk rests regularly with Putin in Sochi, says Project. He controls many important appointments made by the President of the Russian Federation, investigators are sure.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the invaders auctioned Massandra on November 17.
