The court sentenced a Sevastopol resident
Following the instructions of Ukrainian intelligence, a woman was gathering information on a separate aviation regiment of the Black Sea Fleet.
The Sevastopol City Court convicted a local resident and found her guilty of high treason. The woman was sentenced to 12 years in prison in a general regime colony with restricted freedom for one year. On Monday, March 29, Interfax reports with reference to the court press service.
“A native of Bakhchisarai, born in 1955, was lured by a representative of a foreign state for covert cooperation with the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine,” the message reads.
It is noted that the woman, following the instructions of Ukrainian intelligence, collected information on a separate aviation regiment of the Black Sea Fleet.
As previously reported, the Ukrainian counterintelligence service exposed and stopped the espionage activities of a Belarusian KGB agent in the Volyn region.
